Wise Elders - 2023
Pencil on paper piece inspired by our Indigenous beliefs that owls are omens of death. When this piece was drawn I was a part of a sharing Circle of Wisdom. I got the chance to listen to four elders speak about their experiences with the environment, learning new ways to move forward, and moving on from horrible past experiences. I drew these owls to represent them letting their past and regrets and sadness die so they could enrich themselves as they work forward.
